RUSNAK Porsche Pasadena revealed the new Porsche 718 Boxster and presented three boxing demonstrations by the USC and UCLA Boxing Clubs on Wednesday evening, July 27, 2017. The much-anticipated event was held in the Porsche dealership showrooms located at 325 West Colorado Blvd in Pasadena.

Nearly 60 years after the 718 RSK seized the winners’ podium, the new mid-engine 718 Porsche Boxster provides near-perfect balance and unrivaled agility through the corners. Combine its razor-sharp handling with the instantaneous power of a 300hp turbocharged flat-four engine, and suddenly, every road it encounters feels a tad bit windier.

Mark Umuytan, General Manager, RUSNAK Porsche Pasadena hosted the event with Liz Rusnak Arizmendi, Vice President Public Relations RUSNAK Auto Group. The sporting evening featured libations from Old Oak Cellars, Deep Eddy Vodka, Duncan Taylor Whisky and Black Bull Whisky and culinary wonders created by Chef Tanya Jackson, of The Rustic Gourmet and sweet European delights from Pasadena Bakery Company. Guests enjoyed sipping, savoring, while strolling among a magnificent collection of Porsches. Clients were treated to sports memorabilia from KB Collections, shaving aficionados enjoyed Apothecary 87 and men’s and women’s fashion accessories by ALUX. Media sponsor LA Dreams Luxury Magazine toasted the sporting event.

Moreover, the guests witnessed a boxing demonstration from USC Boxing Club and UCLA Boxing Club. The line-up of amazing and talented boxers were; Lightweights- Elizabeth Pratt, 2016 National Champion and Tamara Espinet, USC Boxing Club first National Champion, Middleweights- Vlad Panin and Cesar Garcia and Heavyweights- Elijah Oseguera and Nicolas Shapiro while DJ Happen spun upbeat sounds in the background. Professional Ring Announcer, Charles Lamantia welcomed the boxers and introduced USC Boxing Club Head Coach and West Coast Chairman of the National Collegiate Boxing Association, Ramon Espada along with Michelle Munoz, President of the USC Boxing Club and Tony Gonzales, Head Coach for UCLA Boxing Club. Stunning ring girls, Jessica, Gillian and Calista strutted as the three minute rounds were called.  The Factory Hair and Make-Up team created the ring girls ‘glam-looks’ for the evening. All enjoyed the boxing demonstration, as the boxers wearing protective gloves and headgear, threw punches at each other in the boxing ring in the Porsche Pasadena showroom.

Cheers for USC and UCLA could be heard along Colorado Blvd in Old Town Pasadena.  Boxing embraces entertainment and spirit of competition just as Porsche Boxster injects the excitement of power and agility.
